Exhibition Takeaways, curation, design, writing, 2018–2023, numbered series of Riso-printed pamphlets and digital downloads, Brizdle-Schoenberg Special Collections Center, Ringling College of Art + Design. Page count varies, 8.5 × 7 inches. Front and back cover spreads (below).
The publication series Exhibition Takeaways follows and extends the exhibitions of the Brizdle-Schoenberg Special Collections Center (B-SSCC). The series serves as a guide to the collections, a starting point for a topic, an archive of an event, a catalog of after thoughts, and an opportunity for design. With any luck, this counter-punctual project will present “a new rhythm of elaboration” and “slow down sequentiality” all the while accumulating a body of ideas related to the studies and histories of art, design, communication, media, leisure, and publishing. Fifteen titles, B-SSCC #01–#15, were published between 2018–2023. Riso-printed versions were given away free at the Center. The ink color rotated between issues and was chosen on press. Digital versions are available for downloaded through the Center’s website and the Alfred R. Goldstein Library catalog.
